We've been working on this one for a really long time and we can't tell you how excited we are to finally introduce you to the all new Joe Doodle apparel range. This one's a little different and that's exactly why we like it! It celebrates an artist like we never have before! Let's learn more about the artist who created and inspired this work of wearable art!
This doodle style drawing design is inspired by all of the things that inspire the artist Joe, you will find an unlimited number of super fun designs including waves, skateboards, skulls, pickles, beers, burgers, exotic birds, palm trees, popsicles, matches and much, much more. You could honestly get lost in all of the super fun doodles for hours and probably find something new and exciting every single time you look at it. With that being said, let's get to know the artist a little better.Â
Joe Tamponi is a 33 year old Italian artist and illustrator with a passion for 3 ft waves. Joe states that he has always had a huge passion for drawing but 9 years ago he started doing it everyday. Since then Joe started working with local brands and started a little hardcore punk inspired clothing brand with his closest friends.
Joe says that music is a major source of inspiration to him not only for his art but also for his everyday life. Joe says that he can’t even count how many pieces he has drawn listening to the bouncing souls and lately he’s been into folk artists and some psychedelic music from the 60s.
Joe’s also been super busy creating logos and art for anything from chicken wings, coffee roasteries and even skateboards. Joe likes to spend his free time on a personal love project of restoring old skateboard decks and breathing new life into them by sanding them down and giving them some fresh artwork. Joe says that he used to sand them down manually but thanks to a little help from his awesome grandpa and his sander he can spend a lot more time on the drawing part now.
