Introducing the absolutely extraordinary, out of this world Intergalactic Universe apparel range. This absolutely mind blowing design was created exclusively for Lunafide by the exceptionally talented Spanish freelance artist, illustrator and designer Guifré Urgell Tasies better known by his artist pseudonym: Yantrart. We had so much fun planning this design with Guifré and it was just so amazing watching the shapes, colours, patterns and elements come alive in order to ultimately become this apparel range.
Yantrart has a unique signature style and technique where he creates intriguing sacred geometric works of art inspired by nature, space and by the other beautiful naturally occurring things in life. These works of art contain elements of signature sacred geometric and mandala pattern work and he layers his designs in such a manner where the depths and tones create a three-dimensional illusion. Yantrart's artwork is also filled with depth and meaning, let us explore the "story" behind the Intergalactic Universe apparel range.
The artwork featured on this apparel range is inspired by the universe, the universe is all of space, the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets, the galaxies and all of its contents. In the centre of the artwork is a depiction of an atom symbol, this represents that fact that all of everything in the universe is made up of atoms and although small, they are important because they essentially make up everything in the universe!
Above this symbol is an intricate sacred geometrical depiction of the sun and below the symbol of a sacred geometric depiction of the moon. On either side of the atom symbol are depictions of two planets. The design is surrounded by depictions of the moon in all of its phases, surrounded by galaxies. Finally the design is surrounded in a background of spectacular mandala pattern work.
