Dragons are one of the most popular and long standing mythical creatures. Stories of dragons are told and known across many nations and cultures and it seems no matter the year or era these monstrous, mythological, fire and ice breathing, flying serpents continue to take our modern literature and film industry by storm.
Although It is not entirely clear when or where the first stories of dragons emerged, they were in fact described as early as the age of the ancient Greeks and Sumerians. In all of history and in mythological tales these giants feature in they were almost always either considered protective or dangerous, terrifying or trainable.
